Always keen to support the local community, we have added the Wyre Juniors Diamonds to our extensive list of beneficiaries.
The team plays in the Poulton District Primary League, and is made up of 16 players who attend local schools around Preesall and Thornton. Rather than being a win-at-all-costs team, each player is given equal playing time, so they can develop their skills. While some players are new to the team this season, many have progressed from the under 11s team.
We have provided a new kit for the players and our Managing Director, David Cox, is often spotted on the side lines supporting the team in their quest to create fantastic footballers.
He commented: “We are always delighted to support our community, especially with developing young people’s skills. The Wyre Juniors Diamonds team is fantastic and brilliantly run by Angela Bullen. I have seen a few of their matches and they are always having such fun. I am very happy to support them.”
