Honda has scooped up a hat-trick of trophies in the inaugural Auto Express Driver Power Used Car Awards. A very special shout-out goes to the much-loved Honda Jazz and CR-V for sticking it to the competition.
As part of the UK’s largest customer satisfaction and ownership survey, the new-for-2017 Driver Power Used Car Awards evaluated three-to-six-year-old vehicles across 31 criteria and nine major vehicle categories. It may not be the sexiest of awards, but it focuses on the qualities (like reliability and performance) that really matter to owners.
The results were published September 20 in Auto Express, with the Honda Jazz awarded a Gold Award in the Best Used Small Car category. The Honda CR-V snagged a Silver in the Best Mid-Size SUV segment and a Gold for Infotainment, Connectivity and Electrics.
“With the media spotlight predominantly – and understandably – on new models and launches, the used car market is frequently and unjustly overlooked, so it is very gratifying to see this important segment recognised in such a high-profile manner,” said David Hodgetts, managing director of Honda UK.
For the Jazz and CR-V to come up trumps in three major categories is proof that Honda models are still pulling out the stops long after leaving the showroom. With the buzz around the Frankfurt Motor Show having barely faded, it’s clear Honda cars aren’t only innovative – they’re future-proof. Bravo.
