Local motor dealership MD helps North West Air Ambulance Charity get on the road to success. David Cox of Cox Motor Group presented the North West Air Ambulance Charity with a car last week to enable them to deliver stock to their five charity shops across the region.
The Cox Motor Group in Blackpool generously donated a Honda Jazz to the North West Air Ambulance Charity which is kitted-out with decals that feature both the charity's and Cox Motor Group's branding.
North West Air Ambulance Charity Retail Area Manager, Christyna O'Connell, will use the vehicle on a daily basis to easily transport stock and take volunteers between its five charity shops in the region, including the one based in Lytham St Annes. The North West Air Ambulance Charity has five retail stores throughout the region in Lytham St. Annes, Kirkby Lonsdale, Garstang, Southport and Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Jackie Northover, head of retail at the North West Air Ambulance, said: “We are delighted and extremely grateful to David Cox for donating this car to our charity. Sales at our stores help to generate funds for the charity and this new partnership will no doubt support us in our aim to increase our presence on the High Street.
“We would like to personally thank David Cox, Managing Director at Cox Motor Group, for his commitment to the North West Air Ambulance Charity. The charity's retail hubs help bring communities together to support a local, worthwhile cause, so this donation is gratefully received.”
The North West Air Ambulance Charity's helicopters fly 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics on board providing rapid treatment, hospital transfers, and ultimately, giving the gift of time to patients across the entire North West region each year. Since it launched in 1999, the charity has flown over 11,000 missions across the region. The charity needs to raise more than £4.3million per year to keep both of the North West's Air Ambulance helicopters operational and helping to save lives.
