New Ecomotive Leon will be most economically friendly SEAT ever.
SEAT’s stylish and lowest emitting car yet arrives early 2014 with OTR prices starting from £19,360. The 1.6-litre TDI 3dr SEAT Leon SC Ecomotive boasts an official fuel consumption figure of 85.6mpg combined, with a CO2 output of 87g/km. This is a massive 12g/km and 11.3mpg higher than the next best Leon available, which is the SEAT Leon 1.6 TDI 5spd manual featuring 74.3mpg and 99g/km.
The new SEAT Leon emotive will be aiming to capture the interest of fleet customers and has outlined how serious it is about increasing its fleet appeal upon revealing a Leon estate in the September of 2013.
Compared to the Leon 1.6 TDI, the Ecomotive boosts engine output from 105 PS to 110 PS and includes low rolling resistance tyres. The body package gives it rear and side spoilers and a unique radiator grille, improving its aerodynamic performance while suspension is lowered by 15mm.
The 1.6-litre TDI Ecomotive will be available in the Leon’s three body shapes: standard five-door hatch, three-door SC, and the ST (the estate model). All Leon Ecomotive models come with stop/start and an energy recovery system, which captures and stores brake energy otherwise lost as heat. Any Leon ordered before the end of 2013 will receive SEAT’s Technology Pack for free worth £1,915, which contains; satellite navigation, DAB radio and full-LED headlights with strip-LED daytime running lights.
