The ‘Don’t Dump It, Donate It!’ clothing campaign has already proven very successful, with many locals bringing in their unwanted clothing for this great and worthy cause. The North West Air Ambulance urgently needs clothing that you and your family may never wear again; maybe it's no longer your size, out of fashion or style. All the clothing received will be distributed across all the local North West Air Ambulance charity shops, where your donated items can then be generated into cash to help people in crisis and vulnerable people in the local area.
The North West Air Ambulance Charity's helicopters fly 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics on board providing rapid treatment, hospital transfers, and ultimately, giving the gift of time to patients across the entire North West region each year.
The charity's retail arm has been extremely successful in generating income to help keep the region's air ambulances flying and the charity is now looking for generous locals to donate second-hand goods to help their charity shops get off to a flying start.
North West Air Ambulance Charity Retail Area Manager, Christyna O’Connell, was available to help collect the mountain of donated articles of clothing. Cox Motor Group in Blackpool recently donated a Honda Jazz to the North West Air Ambulance Charity which was on standby ready to be loaded up with the generously donated clothing from locals of the area.
As we are coming up to the spring clean season, it's the perfect time to get organised and donate your unwanted clothes to help this very important charity. Alongside these vital donations for the The North West Air Ambulance charity shops, the charity would also love local people to also donate their time to help run the hub and help mirror the success of the recent Hale opening.
For more information on how you can get involved in supporting The North West Air Ambulance, or to arrange a personal donation collection, call 0800 587 4570. If you have any unwanted clothes you are happy to donate, place your unwanted clothes in a secure bag or container before bringing it to our reception desk at Lancaster Honda, Blackpool Honda or Preston Honda. Please label your delivery clearly for the attention of the North West Air Ambulance.
This campaign will last up until March 31st.
