This year's winners of the coveted Volkswagen Gold Pin were revealed at a lavish ceremony in London on Friday 21 March. Robert Hazelwood, Director of Volkswagen UK, and Petra Faeth of Volkswagen AG hosted the evening dinner at the spectacular Cafe Royal - a venue that has welcomed London's celebrities and fashionistas since 1895. This sumptuous and grand hotel was the perfect setting for our very special awards evening.
The Gold Pin recognises outstanding contributions to the business in the Retailer Network. A mere eleven recipients were rewarded at the event. These special individuals were nominated for the award as recognition of their loyalty and dedication to the brand and Jeff Armer, brand manager at Lancaster Volkswagen was delighted to be amongst them.
Jeff was chosen due to his incredible dedication to customer service and his constant striving for excellence in the business, in fact his commitment last year helped drive the sales department to the very top of the Volkswagen Balanced Scorecard. Jeff though was typically modest in accepting this hugely coveted award and said; “the whole team at Lancaster Volkswagen deserve so much credit for this recognition, they’ve made it a wonderful place to work and clearly customers are loving the experience at our newly developed dealership. The customer feedback we get is so positive it makes it all worthwhile too. But Cox Motor Group Managing Director insisted that Jeff received individual praise by adding; “customers want to deal with a business that is clearly well run with smooth processes and driven motivated staff. You achieve that through strong, high quality leadership. That is what Jeff Armer provides. I’m absolutely thrilled for him."
