Cox Motor Group is supporting Test Pilot Peter Kosogorin and his colleagues at BAE Warton taking part in the Monte Carlo or Bust Banger Rally in June in aid of Combat Stress.
The route of the Monte Carlo or Bust Rally will take the team from Warton, Lancashire with a stop at Leatherhead, the charity’s HQ for a press and media event, to the starting point in Namur, Belgium. Inspired by the Paramount film, the Rally begins here and routes via Baden Baden, Basel, Lake Como, Genoa and finishes in Monaco. The rally involves a number of challenges along the way, not least of which will be a successful arrival. There will be a number of media events and the 1400 mile one way journey will certainly raise awareness of this important charity.
Combat Stress is the leading Veterans' mental health charity in the UK providing treatment for ex-Service personnel suffering with mental ill-health, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. It doesn't matter how young or old you are, where you Served, or whether you saw combat - they may be able to help. If you are the loved one or carer of an ex-Service man or woman, they are there to support you too.
Their treatment and support is provided free of charge and provides a vital lifeline to almost 6,000 Veterans aged from 18 to 97. You can find out more about this fantastic cause at www.combatstress.org.uk.
Geoff Stothert and Kerry Hatton of Cox Motor Group met with Peter this week to discuss the rally and how they could help. After making their donation, they were treated to a tour of the Typhoon fighter jet, while Peter and his colleagues were treated to a tour of the brand new Honda Civic Type R. While we had 2 impressive machines together, it was a great opportunity for both companies to take some pictures.
