As soon as you sit inside the Touareg, it’s plain to see: the stylish interior design says it all. An elegant double seam runs from the dashboard across to the door sill and the high-quality, harmoniously coordinated materials ensure a feel-good atmosphere straight away. The background lighting is available optionally starting with the Elegance equipment line with 30 different colours. The lower and upper area of the interior can thus be illuminated in different colours independently of each other. If two different colours are selected, the main colour is adopted additionally for the displays. You can therefore create completely different lighting scenarios depending on your mood.

The digital instrument cluster and the 38.1 cm (15 inch) screen of the infotainment system form one curved glass surface: the Innovision Cockpit.
Completely new perspectives
Huge dimensions for big impressions. The tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof covers almost the entire roof and also offers passengers in the rear a virtually unrestricted view of the sky. A little extra fresh air? The front half of the roof opens at the press of a button or extends fully over the rear part.

The Touareg is transformed into a mobile concert hall with the optionally available DYNAUDIO Consequence sound system:
Opens with ease, closes securely
The Keyless Access comfort package does the heavy lifting when your hands are full. It allows you to open and close the rear lid without the need for any contact. A simple foot movement under the rear of the Touareg is all it takes to trigger the sensor to do it for you. In addition, the rear lid also closes electrically – at the press of a button.
More agile steering, more comfortable manoeuvring
With the optional all-wheel steering, the rear wheels are turned to an angle opposite to the front wheels up to 23 mph. The turning circle is reduced by more than one metre as a result. At a higher speed, the rear wheels are turned in the same direction as the front wheels. The Touareg is therefore more agile and more stable when changing lanes.
Riding on air
The Touareg lets you decide what type of driving experience you want. Depending on the driving mode, the air suspension* lifts the vehicle to a ground clearance of 258 mm. The rear of the vehicle can also be lowered by 40 mm for convenient loading or unloading.
