The IM5 comes in multiple electric configurations, including a 75 kWh standard range model with up to around 304 miles WLTP combined range and a 100 kWh Long Range version capable of up to 441 miles between charges. A high‑performance variant with dual motors and all‑wheel drive delivers exhilarating acceleration with a range near 357 miles WLTP.
The top‑spec IM5 Performance model produces up to 553 kW (around 751 hp) and 802 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–62 mph in about 3.2 seconds. All variants benefit from an 800 V architecture that supports ultra‑rapid DC charging, allowing the battery to go from roughly 10–80 % in around 17 minutes under suitable conditions.
The MG IM5 features a sleek coupe‑inspired silhouette with flush door handles, sharp LED headlights and a low drag coefficient around 0.226, aided by 19″ aerodynamic wheels. This purposeful styling enhances efficiency and gives the saloon a distinctive road presence.
Inside, the IM5 offers a tech‑rich environment with an ultra‑wide 26.3″ immersive display and a 10.5″ central vertical touchscreen, both supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A premium 20‑speaker audio system and road noise cancellation help create a refined and engaging cabin experience.
The IM5’s cabin prioritises occupant comfort with heated, ventilated and optionally massaging seats, generous rear legroom, an adjustable rear seat backrest and an expansive panoramic glass roof. A spacious 457‑litre boot with a wide hatch opening supports everyday practicality and longer trips.
